I've Written My Article - Now What

So you have just written your first masterpiece of an article and now you are wondering what to do next.….STOP! Have you consulted with your editor? If not let’s do this before we go any further.

So many great writings have been overlooked for the simple reason of not being edited. I know, I know, you are excited about your article being introduced to the masses, and I too am excited for you as well. But your masterpiece can turn out to be a big flop if it is not properly edited.

Let me, if you would, point out some things that you may or may not be aware of and one of them is this. When you are writing, you as the author, know in your head what you are trying to say or express. Therefore, as you are reading what you have written you will have a tendency to not see typing or even grammatical errors. This is simply a common flaw in all of us, so don’t kick yourself.

Another thing is that by having an editor you have an opportunity to hear some feed back on your article before it is published, whether it is negative or positive, concerning what you have written. The feed back that you are getting may be negative -negative meaning constructive criticism not the kind that’s meant as an attempt to discourage and rob you of your vision: please know the difference. You see, if it is constructive criticism, learn to take it in stride and use it to make your writing better.

Need I talk about what to do about the positive feed back? OK, just a little. Yeah, you’ve got it - stick your chest out and be very proud of what you have accomplished, because you have begun to lay a firm foundation in your marketing career. A foundation that many neglect to take a part in and because they neglect it, they are soon discouraged and therefore quit. So my advice to you is that you keep pumping out those great content articles.
